Today’s Thought

LETS OPEN DOORS HERO OF THE MONTH!

Lets Open Doors is very appreciative of FREE, this fellow volunteer organization, supporting those who face their daily tasks we take for granted in our daily lives.  Working together, we can help our Virginians have the needed equal and real ACCOMMODATION.

FREE would like you to consider donating to our organization whether it be equipment, money to fix/buy equipment, or your time. We are always looking to help those in need.

With FREE having 6 chapters spread throughout Virginia, we were able to donate nearly 2,000 pieces of equipment to disabled Virginians in 2016. Without our communities, we would not have been able to help as many disabled people maximize their functional independence and improve their quality of life.

                                 FREE

OUR MISSION

To acquire and provide mobility related rehabilitative equipment to maximize functional independence and improve quality of life.

OUR VISION

A Virginia where every need for mobility related rehabilitative equipment is fulfilled.

The F.R.E.E Foundation is a volunteer-led non-profit that provides mobility rehabilitation equipment to help people regain their mobility and independence.  F.R.E.E. collects, sanitizes, repairs and gifts donated mobility equipment to uninsured and underinsured adults in Virginia. When F.R.E.E. gifts equipment, falls and medical costs drop by over 80%. Those in need regain their mobility and independence and Virginians save millions of dollars annually.

Parents and Small Children

Let's remember today and everyday, the the Mom or Dad walking alone, with "little ones", stowing gear under their arm with a toddler held by one hand, while pushing another child in the stroller… they deserve TLC, too.  LETS OPEN DOORS!

We hear in New Jersey around the Clifton area, employess ARE coming to the door when they see someone approaching who may need assistance!  BRAVO!!     People and businesses are gaining everywhere!

End the pain AND create gain!!

SAY “HI”

Did you notice that wheelchair when it was in your pathway?  Did you…

A. Pause to “open the door”?

B. Slow down enough to “open the door and say “Hi” to the person in the wheelchair on your way?

          C. Did you feel a little lighter having helped someone?

If you did A or B, both the caregiver and disabled person you helped say “Thank You!”

If you felt C, then we’re glad we helped YOU, too! We’re all in this life together.
